Sociocracy 3.0 experiments are running world-wide
Knowledge and application of Sociocracy 3.0 is spreading fast, and its patterns are being utilized in a diversity of contexts: business, tech, academia, education, communities, families, intimate relationships, coaching, organizational development consultancy, conflict resolution, etc.
The application and experimentation with S3 is happening in many countries: Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, England, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, India, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and maybe more.
Preserving quality and integrity without certification
Such rapid and growing interest in S3 is both exciting and rewarding, however there are many people interacting with S3 with varying degrees of understanding and experience and there is a need for practitioners to demonstrate to others a high level of commitment for ensuring quality and integrity.
We are of the opinion that the usual strategy of certification does not necessarily guarantee integrity of practitioners or quality of content they share. Also, it’s important to us that the spirit of S3 can remain free and continue to be shared, utilized and evolved by whoever chooses to do so. We do not want certification to get in the way of the free spreading of Sociocracy 3.0.
So as a first step to assist in maintaining the quality and integrity of S3 as it is passed from person to person throughout the world, we created set of guidelines for people practicing and teaching others about Sociocracy 3.0:
This commitment supports:
- Practitioners and teachers with clear guidance on how to continually develop their experience and skills in sharing about and applying Sociocracy 3.0 patterns, and improve their knowledge and understanding of S3 as it evolves.
- Clients and students in selecting the people they wish to work with and learn from, according to their level of experience and the quality and integrity of their work.
